Contesting a Will
There are cases where certain heirs dispute the content or validity of a will or where their right to a legal share (νόμιμη μοίρα) has been infringed upon. In such instances, there is the option to appeal to the Courts either for the completion of the legal share or for the annulment or interpretation of a will.
Inheritance debts
It's common for debts to exist within an inheritance, leading heirs to desire its renunciation. However, the deadline for renunciation for residents of Greece is very short (4 months), and heirs often miss this deadline, resulting in the law considering them as heirs and thus, debtors. In such cases, there is the option to appeal to the Courts for the annulment of this so-called "presumed acceptance.
